Damage of clutch release bearing
The damage of the clutch release bearing is closely related to the driver's operation, maintenance and adjustment. The causes of damage are as follows: 1) Overheating due to excessive operating temperature Many drivers often half step on the clutch when turning or decelerating, and some put their feet on the clutch pedal after engaging the gear; Some vehicles have too much adjustment of free travel, which makes the clutch not completely separated, and the clutch is in the state of half engagement and half separation. This state causes dry friction and generates a lot of heat which is transferred to the release bearing. When the bearing heat reaches a certain temperature, the butter melts or flows in dilution, which further increases the temperature of the release bearing. When the temperature reaches a certain degree, it will burn out. 2) Wear due to lack of lubricating oil The clutch release bearing is lubricated with grease. There are two ways to add grease. For 360111 release bearing, the rear cover of the bearing should be opened and filled with grease during maintenance or when removing the transmission, and then the rear cover should be reassembled; For the 788611K release bearing, it can be disassembled and boiled in molten grease, taken out after cooling, to achieve the purpose of lubrication. In actual work, the driver is easy to ignore this point, resulting in the lack of oil in the clutch release bearing. In the case of no lubrication or little lubrication, the wear amount of the release bearing is often several to dozens of times of the wear amount after lubrication. With the increase of wear, the temperature will also be greatly increased, so it is easier to damage. 3) Too small free stroke or too many times of loading According to the requirements, the clearance between the clutch release bearing and the release lever is generally 2.5mm. The free stroke reflected on the clutch pedal is 30-40mm. If the free stroke is too small or there is no free stroke at all, the release lever and the release bearing will be in a normal engagement state. According to the principle of fatigue damage, the longer the bearing works, the more serious the damage is; The more times the bearing is loaded, the easier the release bearing is to produce fatigue damage. Moreover, the longer the working time is, the higher the temperature of the bearing is, and the easier it is to burn, reducing the service life of the release bearing. 4)In addition to the above three reasons, whether the release lever is adjusted smoothly and whether the return spring of the release bearing is in good condition also have a great impact on the damage of the release bearing.
